General Info & Schedule
This VEX IQ Robotics Competition (VIQRC) event is a critical qualifier for regional and international tournaments. It brings together teams from across Korea and Asia to compete in the current season's challenge. Judged awards will be granted based on team interviews and Engineering Notebook submissions.
Key Participation Rules
- Teams must be officially registered for the current VEX IQ season with the REC Foundation.
- Grade Level Eligibility: Open to Elementary School (ES) and Middle School (MS) teams.
- Engineering Notebook: Submission of a digital or physical notebook is required for Excellence and Design Award eligibility.
- Robot Inspection: All robots must pass a full inspection prior to competing in Qualification Matches or Skills Challenges.
- Registration operates on a strict first-come, first-served basis due to limited field capacity.
The schedule provides a comprehensive roadmap for the competition day. We ask all teams to adhere strictly to the check-in time to ensure a prompt start.
- 08:00 – 09:00: Team Check-in & Pit Setup Teams arrive, register their presence, complete initial robot inspection, and set up their pit areas.
- 09:00 – 09:30: Opening Ceremony & Driver Meeting Welcome address, official rule review, and Q&A session for drivers and coaches. Attendance is mandatory.
- 09:30 – 12:00: Qualification Matches & Skills Runs (Session 1) The first competitive session of the day begins. Teams may also queue for Skills Challenges.
- 12:00 – 13:00: Lunch Break One hour allocated for lunch. Lunch options will be available on-site for purchase.
- 13:00 – 15:30: Qualification Matches, Skills, & Judging (Session 2) Final qualification matches, last calls for Skills, and judging interviews will conclude during this block.
- 15:30 – 16:30: Finals Matches The top teams compete in the elimination rounds. Spectators are highly encouraged!
- 16:30 – 17:00: Awards Ceremony & Closing Remarks Presentation of awards and announcement of teams qualified for higher-level events.
